In My Mailbox Monday (16)

In My Mailbox (IMM) was started by The Story Siren a few years back, and is a great way for bloggers to give the books they are reading (or are planning to read) a quick mention.  I didn't do an IMM last week because of Banned Books Week, so I've actually got two weeks worth of great books to report!

As I Wake
By Elizabeth Scott
Publisher: Dutton Juvenile
Publication Date:  September 15th, 2011
Source:  Purchased
I've been looking forward to this book for awhile and am super excited to read it.I think Elizabeth Scott is great, and what about this cover?  Amazing!

Away
By Teri Hall
Publisher: Dial Books for Young Readers
Publication Date:  September 15th, 2011
Source:  Purchased
I really enjoyed The Line, which was the first book in this series. I have been waiting for this one for awhile!  If you haven't read The Line and like a good dystopia, you should definitely give it a shot!

Bloodlines
By Richelle Mead
Publisher: Razorbill
Publication Date: August 23rd, 2011
Source: Library
I've been waiting for this for ages.  I haven't read her other books, but I wanted to give this a shot since it's the start of a new series.

Fateful
By Claudia Gray
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: September 13th, 2011
Source: Library
Werewolves? On the Titanic? Enough said.  I haven't read any of Claudia Gray's other books, but the premise of this one is just too good.  I had to check it out!

The Heroin Diaries
By Nikki Sixx
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publication Date: October 15th, 2007
Source: Library
Um.  I was over-the-top in love with this guy through Jr. and Sr. HS.  I still might be a little bit... I've never readthis and it was on my banned books list, so I had to find out why. I <3 Nikki Sixx.  Shh.  Don't tell anyone.

The Night Circus (Audio)
By Erin Morgenstern; Read by Jim Dale
Publisher: Doubleday/Books On Tape
Publication Date: September 13th, 2011
Source: Purchase
I had to check this out.  If you're a blogger, you've read at least a couple of rave reviews.  I need to find out for myself what all the hype is about.  Plus, I like the cover.

Guys Read: Thriller
Edited By Jon Scieszka
Publisher: Walden Pond Press/HarperCollins
Publication Date: September 20th, 2011
Source: Purchase
I've loved the other Guys Read short story collections, and expect that this one will be no different.  Chock full of amazing authors, the short stories always rock!  My daughter loves them as well.  Definitely not just for guys!

Witch & Wizard: The Manga, Vol. 1
By James Patterson
Publisher: Yen Press
Publication Date: September 20th, 2011

I love the series, and I'm trying to work a little manga into my reviews.  Plus my daughter likes them...

I got the book the other week, and was so pleasantly surprised to get the audio in the mail from Macmillan Audio!  I will likely host a giveaway of this one, so stay tuned!

  4. Fateful sounds good! And I'm planning to celebrate (if that is the right word) the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic next year by reading Titanic themed books. So this goes on my TBR. Thanks!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I adore comments since they make me feel special and loved, just please don't spam me. I'm not interested in vacation offers, millions of dollars from Nigeria, or anything not book related!

Also, this is an award-free blog. As flattered as I am, I just don't have time. I'm happy if I have time to post all of my reviews on time, and am a momma of three to boot, but I appreciate the thoughts! XO
